Match report Batting first in sunny conditions, St.Albans got off to a flying start.
Some big hitting from Jack Ypey with 24 in his 4 overs was followed by strong batting throughout the team. The loss of only four wickets in the entire innings allowed St.Albans to amass a powerful 79 run total.

Short by one man, St.Albans were lucky enough to be able to draft in upcoming superstar, 7 year old Joe Button as late cover. Chasing 80 to win, Flamstead set off aggressively reaching 25 after four overs with no wickets lost. An economic bowling performance from the St.Albans bowlers slowed the run rate down rapdily and led to the loss of 4 quick wickets in 4 overs. This proved to be the turning point and left Flamstead needing to score 45 runs off the last 4 overs.

The strike partnership of brothers Alfie and Joe Button bowled a tight final four overs with debutant Joe delivering a Man of the Match performance in his debut U11 game with some excellent pace bowling.
